EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP, FINANCES, AND MISSION-DRIVEN WORK HIGHLIGHTED
By meeting all of its values-based standards, UNFCU Foundation earned the BBB Wise Giving Alliance’s US national accreditation. BBB WGA is a recognized standards-based organization that evaluates the trustworthiness of US charities through rigorous evaluations. Twenty benchmark requirements met by UNFCU Foundation included board oversight, finances, results reporting, and fundraising appeals.
“This accreditation signifies that UNFCU Foundation is deserving of donor trust and is a well-run nonprofit organization,” said Art Taylor, president and CEO of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance. “The public can be assured that every charity evaluation is completed with careful, objective analysis of charity information. UNFCU Foundation’s commitment to sound governance, transparency, and advancing its mission has earned our confidence.”

In 2019, UNFCU Foundation-funded projects helped more than 3,000 women and youth gain opportunities for self-development and economic advancement. Expanding its impact to empower the most vulnerable in society, UNFCU Foundation also supports relief efforts. In 2020, this included UNICEF’s humanitarian aid in Beirut, Lebanon and the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, WHO.
